The Lissi ID-Wallet, which gets information from different contacts

We are proud to announce the release of our new messaging feature for the Lissi Agent and Wallet to transform the way organisations interact with their clients. In today’s world, communication and trust are critical, and secure communication plays a massive role in building that trust. With this in mind, we have developed a new messaging feature that unlocks the true potential of the combination of identity credentials and messaging. In this article, we will explore the benefits of messaging for organisations and their clients, the reasons behind the creation of the messaging feature, and an overview of the feature itself.

The Power of authenticated communication channels

In the digital age, we often encounter people and organisations online before meeting them in person, and establishing trust is paramount in forming these relationships. Authentication plays a crucial role in building that trust, as it helps confirm that the person or organisation you are communicating with is genuine. Our Lissi Wallet’s new messaging feature enables organisations to use authenticated communication channels to form trusted relationships with their clients.

Benefits of a messaging feature for end-users and organisations

We believe there are several reasons to introduce a messaging feature in the Lissi Wallet app from the perspective of end-users:

  1. Enhanced trust and security: Once a user accepts an authenticated organisation as new contact in the Wallet the encrypted and private channel prevents phishing and spam.
  2. Context: Messages provide valuable context about offered or requested credentials. Receiving a credential without knowing where to use it is quite useless.
  3. Convenience: By seamlessly integrating messaging within the app, users can receive messages without switching between different platforms. This creates a more cohesive and efficient user experience.
  4. Being informed: Be it an update to a product or service, a user account, order status or upcoming events. Users are always informed about the most important topics with a particular organisation.
  5. No phone numbers or email address required: To receive messages from organisations, customers do not have to provide a telephone number or an email address, and if they no longer wish to receive messages, they can just delete the connection. It’s as easy as that!

From an organisational perspective there are plenty of good reasons, but here are the most important ones:

  1. Trusted relationship: As an organisation you provide the necessary trust to your clients so they can be sure the message is authentic, secure and confidential.
  2. Attention: Getting the attention of your target audience, by triggering a push notification on their phone greatly increases the likelihood a client will read your message and engage in your offer.
  3. Conversion: A guided user flow ensures a high conversion rate by providing all the necessary information.
  4. Customer loyalty: Retain your customers by strengthening your customer engagement and access to your services with a digital wallet.
  5. Secure P2P-messages: Send confidential messages and documents to customers instead of providing these in your internal postbox.

Overview of the New Messaging Feature

The new messaging feature in the Lissi Wallet app is illustrated as a chat within the wallet. This chat also includes credential related activities such as credential offers or information requests.

The messaging feature in the Lissi Wallet app is currently limited to uni-directional communication. This means users can only receive messages, but not send them. While this sounds limiting at first, it ensures organisations can focus on providing value without being overwhelmed with individual customer requests.

Getting Started with the Messaging Feature

To make use of the messaging feature as an organisation you can follow these steps:

  1. Fill out our contact form in 1 minute.
  2. Get a free Lissi SaaS Agent for test purposes
  3. Get the Lissi Wallet (iOS, Android)
  4. Create a trusted connection between your agent and wallet and be creative about your use case.

In conclusion, with the Lissi Wallet’s new messaging feature, organisations can further tailor their communication channels, creating a more personalised and professional experience for their clients. By utilising the messaging feature, organisations can build stronger relationships with their clients, ultimately enhancing trust and customer satisfaction.
